Simulation
Computer simulation is a process of using a computer model of a real
system to show the impact of changes. The goal is to show the users how
effective their decisions in practice really are.
Advantages and applications of simulation
1. Sales and decision support.
Instantly developed simulation
models with plug’n’play are very
helpful to:
•
present a fully functioning
system during a sales pitch,
•
immediate visualize the
process sequence with 3D
animation,
•
support a case for manage-
ment decisions. Simulation
provides answers to "what if"
questions.
2. Construction and development. Planning and optimization of complete
systems. The simulation model (see 1.) is gradually expanded to cover the
required characteristics of the real system, then evaluated and modified to
test if better performance of the system is possible. Please see our
examples.
3. Virtual operations. Connecting
PLC controlers with a simulation
model over Profibus, Profinet, OPC,
TCP IP or PLC Sim brings:
•
early software testing saves
time and costs,
•
hardly any downtime during
migration of existing systems,
•
no risk to personnel and
equipment,
•
increased planning reliability,
faster completion,
•
improved software quality.
4. Teaching aids for users and system operators (such a flight simulator for
your system) for example a plant simulator for representation of interactions
within the production process in the plant, read more...
Our simulation software
Meanwhile, we have experience with using a number of simulation packages
(Enterprise Dynamics, 3DCreate from Visual Components, Simio and others).
Please ask us what your needs are and we help you choose the best package
for you. The programs we use are very flexible, they allow parallel building
of a 3D animation in a Plug'n'Play way.
